South Dakota





South Dakota - here we are. We visited lots of places-all varied. The Corn Palace in Mitchell, the worlds only building dedicated to corn. This year's theme is travel destinations-quite appropriate for us being on the destination quest that we are.
Another winery.and of course more toasting. We saw prairie grass as it would have been when the westward wagon trains took place. The grass was taller than we were. Can you imagine walking thru grass that tall for miles and miles. Mom made us walk a few feet and it was not fun. Legs getting tangled in the grass.
The Missouri River was neat to see. We are overlooking the river and imagining Lewis and Clark paddling along. They say it has not changed much from when they first laid eyes on it.
Next stop Iowa and a friend of Mom's in Council Bluffs. There are 2 dogs there-a lab mix and a sprnger spaniel. Yeah new friends to play with
